Class A CDL Driver – Local Intermodal (Home Daily | Night Shift

We are looking for Class A CDL Drivers for a local intermodal position based in Chicago, IL. This role offers daily home time, consistent freight, and steady weekly earnings.

Drivers will run regional lanes throughout the Midwest while returning home daily, operating primarily during overnight hours.

What You'll Do

• Haul intermodal freight across IL, WI, MI, IA, and IN
• Operate mainly drop & hook loads with no-touch freight
• Average ~1,800 miles per week
• Run consistent night routes with predictable schedules

Pay & Compensation

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,200
• Mileage Pay: $0.62 CPM
• Per Load Pay: $20 per load

Additional Pay:

• Night differential: +$0.06 CPM
• Weekend differential: +$0.12 CPM

Home Time & Schedule

• Home daily
• 5-day work week (optional 6th day available)
• Night shift with weekend hours as needed

Equipment & Operation

• Intermodal containers
• Drop & hook focused
• Slip seat operation possible

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 6 months of CDL-A experience
• Must live within 25 miles of Chicago, IL (60608)
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Comfortable with night driving and city traffic
