Role Summary

The Innovation Project Manager is responsible for the execution of innovation and advisory projects, including accelerator and mentoring programs, open innovation challenges, public funding applications, and ecosystem development. The role also supports service design, budgeting, and strategic planning, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure successful delivery and strong stakeholder engagement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of innovation programs (Innovation Days, accelerators, mentoring, partner events).

  • Manage client and partner relationships to ensure quality delivery and satisfaction.

  • Co-design new services and improve existing ones based on market trends and partner needs.

  • Coordinate and write public funding applications (EU and national level).

  • Support service budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Deliver masterclasses and presentations for visiting academic and professional groups.

  • Support the organization of strategic events and internal workshops.

  • Contribute to increasing revenue through the design of service offerings, participation in sales pitches, and identification of public and private funding opportunities.


Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent.

  • 5-6 years of experience in project management, innovation consulting, or startup ecosystems.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience designing or delivering innovation or entrepreneurship programs.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); experience with project management tools (e.g. Odoo).

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Proven ability to support business development efforts, including contributing to sales pitches, identifying client needs, and building value-driven proposals.

Nice to Have:

  • Master’s degree in Sports Management, Project Management, or similar.

  • Experience working with public funding (EU/AEI/Horizon).

  • Background in sports, tech, education, or startup ecosystems.

  • Knowledge of innovation methodologies (Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Agile, etc.).

  • Experience with budget planning and reporting.
