Resource Geologist

Our client in Southern Africa, is seeking an experienced Resource Geologist to join their technical team. The ideal candidate will bring strong geological expertise, advanced modelling capability, and a solid understanding of international reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain 3D geological and resource models to support mine planning and long‑term resource development.
• Oversee sampling, logging, QA/QC, and data validation processes to ensure high‑quality geological datasets.
• Interpret drilling, mapping, and geochemical data to generate robust geological interpretations.
• Collaborate with exploration, mine planning, and production teams to optimise resource definition and conversion.
• Prepare technical inputs for resource statements, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Contribute to exploration targeting, drill‑hole planning, and fieldwork programmes.
• Ensure adherence to best‑practice geological, safety, and operational standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in resource geology within a mining environment (gold and/or copper experience preferred).
• Demonstrated expertise in resource modelling, sampling workflows, and exploration data management.
• Strong proficiency in Vulcan and Leapfrog modelling software.
• Working knowledge of JORC, NI 43‑101, or SMREC reporting frameworks (an advantage).
• Strong analytical, communication, and technical reporting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced mining environment.
