Job Summary

The Head of Finance will lead the company's financial strategy and operations across its insurance and investment businesses. The role will oversee financial planning, reporting, investment performance, liquidity, capital management, regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial controls while providing strategic financial guidance to the CEO and Board.

Key Responsibilities

Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

Oversee financial reporting for insurance and investment operations.

Monitor investment portfolios, returns, asset allocation, liquidity, and investment performance.

Manage insurance financials, including premiums, claims, reserves, commissions, and profitability.

Develop financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, products, and business expansion.

Monitor capital adequacy, solvency, liquidity, and overall financial risk.

Ensure compliance with applicable insurance, investment, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with auditors, regulators, banks, investment managers, insurers, and external financial advisors.

Establish strong financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk-management processes.

Analyze portfolio and business performance and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.

Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and improved investment returns.

Prepare financial reports and presentations for the CEO, Board, investors, and other stakeholders.

Lead, develop, and manage the finance and accounting team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent is highly preferred.

8+ years of finance experience, with significant exposure to insurance, investments, asset management, banking, or financial services.

Strong understanding of insurance accounting, investment management, financial reporting, risk, and regulatory compliance.

Experience managing investment portfolios and evaluating investment opportunities.

Strong financial modelling, analytical, forecasting, and strategic decision-making skills.

Experience working with senior executives, Boards, regulators, auditors, and institutional stakeholders.

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
