Teacher I (Primary Level)

Job Summary:

The Teacher I (Primary) is responsible for delivering the national primary curriculum to students in assigned grades, fostering intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. The teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning, while maintaining a safe and engaging classroom environment in accordance with Ministry of Education policies.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

• Five (5) CSEC/GCE OLevel subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
• Certificate in Education or Teachers Diploma from a recognized institution.

Certification:

• Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Teaching Service Commission (TSC), Trinidad and Tobago.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Classroom management and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of child development and primary teaching methodologies.
• Competence in using educational technology and digital tools.
• Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to student development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and parents.
