Responsibilities for System Support Administrator:
The System Support Administrator has the responsibility to translate user requirements and deliver solutions using proven methodologies and documented standards to ensure consistent and predictable system operations that provide interoperability with other systems, utilizing existing architecture and standards, to achieve high reliability requirements and ensuring that the desired specifications are met within the stated timeframes. The incumbent is also challenged with managing all application interfaces supporting all Card Processing systems, ensuring that high availability and minimal downtime is experienced by our customers.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- A minimum of two (3) years work experience in an IT related discipline in the financial sector.
Specialized Skills, Techniques/Learned Disciplines:
- Experience in programming languages, such as PowerBuilder, C++, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, JBASE.
- Knowledge of Database systems and tools such as Oracle, SQL Server, Informix, DB2.
- Proficient knowledge of the Prime and Switchware Card applications and underlying data structures.
- Proficient knowledge of the Electronic Banking processes, especially ISO8583 and their interfaces.
- Proficient knowledge and experiences working with Hardware Security Modules (HSM) associated with Card Processing Systems.
- Experience in structured reviews, software testing and testing tools.
