Job Title: AI Strategy Lead
Purpose of the Role:
The AI Strategy Lead shapes and governs the enterprise AI agenda, working with the director in defining vision, strategy, roadmaps and value realization across AI programmes. The incumbent manages and coordinates cross‑functional delivery, establishes governance and responsible‑AI practices, manages the AI portfolio and performance measures, and builds capability and change management to safely scale AI impact.
Key Accountabilities
- Defines & socializes Enterprise AI strategy, operating model and multi‑year roadmaps, making proposals / recommendations to the Director and gaining buy-in from stakeholders to align investments to priority outcomes
- Establishes & chairs AI governance (covering ethics, risk, compliance, and the model lifecycle) ensuring all AI solutions consistently adhere to enterprise policies, standards, and controls to ensure safe, auditable and compliant adoption
- Manages AI portfolio, performance indicators, and value tracking, ensuring all solutions are aligned with approved AI KPIs, OKRs, and business stakeholder expectations to priorities initiatives and evidence benefits realization
- Aligns architecture, platforms, and reusable accelerators (data, model operations), developing standardized AI patterns and repeatable delivery frameworks in collaboration with business stakeholders to reduce time‑to‑value and duplication
- Builds capability through communities of practice, training, and playbooks, engaging business stakeholders to scale skills and standardise delivery
- Engages stakeholders, including vendors, and regulators to manage risk, contracts, budgets, and communications to ensure business stakeholders' needs are addressed
- Guides responsible-AI assessments and model-risk reviews, incorporating business stakeholder perspectives to embed fairness, transparency and human oversight
- Reports progress and risks to executive forums, providing insights relevant to business stakeholders to support decisions and course corrections
Critical Experience & Knowledge Required
- 7+ years' progressive experience in data, analytics, and AI, including leadership of cross-functional programmes
- Proven success designing and implementing enterprise AI strategies, governance frameworks, and value management in regulated environments
- Expertise in AI ethics, risk, compliance, and model lifecycle management, with direct regulatory and audit engagement
- Strong track record of stakeholder engagement, executive influence, and leading organizational change for AI adoption
- Advanced knowledge of AI/ ML platforms, architecture, and delivery of standardized solutions at scale
- Solid experience working in agile delivery models
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, data engineering or a related quantitative discipline
- Relevant professional certifications in a quantitative, business or policy field would be an asset
