About the Role:
We are hiring a full-time SEO Specialist to support an Australian Life Sciences client.
This role is focused on building and executing a strong SEO foundation while supporting ongoing marketing operations. You will work closely with the clients Marketing Lead and collaborate with an external SEO consultant who provides strategic guidance. Your responsibility is to implement, optimise, and proactively suggest improvements—not simply execute instructions.
This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role that requires strong technical SEO capability, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to understand complex scientific and technical terminology within a B2B environment.
Key Responsibilities:
SEO Strategy Implementation
Execute the agreed SEO roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
Optimise high-value B2B and Life Sciences-related search terms.
Translate strategic direction into measurable on-site improvements.
Proactively suggest refinements to keyword targeting and page structure.
Technical SEO
Conduct site audits to improve crawlability, indexing, and technical health.
Optimise site speed and Core Web Vitals where applicable.
Support SEO alignment during website updates or structural improvements.
Ensure proper implementation of metadata, internal linking, canonical tags, and structured data where required.
Content & On-Page Optimisation
Implement on-page improvements across service and core landing pages.
Align content structure with keyword mapping and commercial search intent.
Monitor content performance and recommend adjustments for ranking and conversion improvements.
Work closely with the Marketing Lead to ensure brand and technical accuracy.
Continuous Optimisation
Monitor keyword rankings and organic traffic trends.
Identify growth opportunities and recommend new optimisation initiatives.
Maintain consistent momentum in execution month over month.
What Were Looking For
Minimum 3 years of hands-on SEO experience (Technical and On-Page).
Strong experience in B2B SEO environments.
Experience in Life Sciences, biotech, healthcare, or other complex technical industries is a strong advantage (but not mandatory).
Proven ability to implement SEO improvements independently.
Comfortable working alongside consultants and marketing leadership.
Excellent written and verbal English (non-negotiable).
Ability to confidently understand and work with complex technical and scientific terminology.
Experience working on SEO during website updates or structural improvements is highly preferred.
