About the Role:

The Copywriter plays a critical role in translating marketing strategy into clear, compelling, and results-driven messaging across multiple channels. This role ensures all written communication—whether client-facing or internal—reflects strong positioning, clear value propositions, and consistent brand voice.

This position requires a highly versatile B2B writer capable of producing both short-form and long-form content across multiple industries. Every piece of content should support marketing objectives such as lead generation, brand positioning, engagement, or conversion.

Depending on business needs, the Copywriter may support one or multiple People Avenue clients or contribute directly to internal marketing initiatives. This requires managing different brand voices simultaneously while maintaining quality and consistency.

The role works closely with marketing managers, designers, SEO specialists, and client stakeholders to ensure messaging aligns with campaign goals and overall marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Copy Execution

Develop clear, engaging, and strategically aligned copy across different marketing channels and formats. The Copywriter is expected to produce both short-form and long-form content depending on campaign needs and business objectives. This includes:

  • Website copy (landing pages, service pages, homepages)

  • Blogs and thought leadership articles

  • Social media captions and campaign messaging

  • Email marketing content

  • Case studies and marketing collateral

  • Sales enablement materials

  • Brand messaging documents

  • Ad copy (as required)

Content Strategy Support

  • Translate marketing strategy into messaging angles and narratives

  • Write content according to funnel stage (awareness, consideration, conversion)

  • Structure messaging to support engagement, education, or conversion

  • Apply buyer persona insights into tone and messaging

  • Recommend ways to strengthen clarity and effectiveness

  • Ensure calls-to-action support campaign objectives

Messaging Development & Research

  • Adapt tone based on brand personality and audience

  • Maintain consistency across platforms and content types

  • Translate complex or technical topics into accessible messaging

  • Conduct research on client industries, services, and competitors

  • Support brand positioning through strong value propositions

Content Optimization & Quality Standards

  • Apply SEO principles when applicable

  • Structure content with clear hierarchy, headings, and logical flow

  • Review work for grammar, clarity, tone, and accuracy

  • Self-edit drafts to reduce revision cycles

  • Revise content based on feedback while maintaining messaging integrity

  • Improve headlines, hooks, and calls-to-action

  • Ensure consistency with brand guidelines and messaging frameworks

  • Proofread final outputs before handoff or publishing

  • Proven experience in marketing and business content across multiple formats

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong editing, proofreading, and quality control discipline

  • Knowledge of SEO content fundamentals and collaboration with SEO specialists

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to connect copywriting decisions to marketing objectives

  • Proficiency in Google Docs, CMS platforms, SEO tools, and project management systems like ClickUp

Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing
