Key Responsibilities - What Youll Do

  • Implement Therapy Plans: Deliver hands-on physical therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, focusing on gross motor skills, balance, and mobility for pediatric clients in our Chandler clinic.
  • Support Client Goals: Use evidence-based interventions to promote physical development, independence, and functional skills, tailored to each childs unique needs.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with families, BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, and other team members to provide holistic, client-centered care.
  • Document and Bill: Complete accurate session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation in compliance with Arizona DDD guidelines and insurance requirements.
  • Adapt to Settings: Work primarily in our modern Chandler clinic, with flexibility to provide in-home therapy as needed.
  • Engage in Growth: Participate in clinical team meetings, ongoing training, and program development to enhance client outcomes.

Skills You Will Use

  • Implementing individualized therapy plans and tracking progress for pediatric and neurodiverse clients.
  • Delivering hands-on care with a focus on mobility, balance, and gross motor development.
  • Navigating Arizona DDD guidelines, authorizations, and billing processes.
  • Communicating effectively with families and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Adapting to various in-home therapy settings with a client-centered approach.

Education/Experience and Other Requirements

  • Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
  • Valid Arizona PTA license or eligibility.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a PTA, with 3+ years preferred, including significant pediatric and neurodiverse (e.g., autism) experience.
  • Familiarity with Arizona DDD guidelines, insurance authorizations, and billing processes.
  • Maintain a Level 1 Fingerprint Card/Background Check.
