Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Therapy Matters

Location: Hybrid In-Home and Center-Based in Chandler Clinic

Schedule: Full-Time (Late Morning to Early Evenings)

About the Role and What You'll Do

Therapy Implementation

• Implementing therapy plans to provide evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming speech interventions (articulation, language, social communication, AAC) in clinic and occasional in-home settings
• Supporting pediatric clients with autism/developmental challenges under Lead SLP supervision
• Managing behavior and communication under supervision
• Create positive, engaging environments to build skills and confidence within our clients

🩺 Data & Documentation

• Collect data on communication skills (receptive/expressive language, articulation, fluency) for assessments and plans.
• Complete accurate session notes, progress reports, and tracking per AZ DDD and insurance rules.
• Support billing with documentation for authorizations and claims.

Collaboration

• Educate families on strategies to reinforce goals at home.
• Team with BCBAs, OTs, PTs for holistic care.
• Join team meetings to share insights and solve challenges.

Standards & Productivity

• Follow ethical, safety, and clinic policies.
• Maintain credentials and pursue continuing education.
• Handle caseload with scheduling support for balance and quality.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Associates/Bachelors in SLPA or related from accredited program
• Valid AZ SLPA license/eligibility
• 1+ year experience with children (speech, special ed, childcare preferred; pediatric/autism a plus)
• Knowledge of AZ DDD, Medicaid (AHCCCS), insurance processes
• Availability: Mid afternoon to early evening, weekdays
• Certifications: Article 9, CPR, First Aid
• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance/Background Check
