Position Title: Copywriter
Location: Remote (Philippines, LATAM and SA)
Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, EST
Compensation: $1,200 to $1,400 USD/month
Employment Type: Independent Contractor

Our client is the worlds leading marketplace for design, a platform where creators from across the globe buy and sell digital high-quality design assets. They are passionate about building tools and experiences that make design beautiful, effective, and accessible to everyone.
Our client supports a global community of independent creators and design-driven teams by curating tools, trends, and stories that shape how visual culture shows up in the world. You will translate this curation and energy into clear, compelling copy across content, campaigns, and community-driven storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Writing and editing copy for our monthly Free Goods Drops, including category blurbs and supportive messaging.
  • Developing and refreshing copy for our Finds Pages that highlight trends, use cases, and standout products.
  • Writing Shop Scoop newsletters that spotlight creators, collections, and timely moments across our marketplace.
  • Reaching out to shop owners and crafting Behind the Shop interview articles that feel human, thoughtful, and design literate.
  • Transcribing and adapting Ambassador content into polished articles published under Made with our client.
  • Proofreading, editing, and publishing articles created in collaboration with shop owners and external contributors.
  • Turning internal trend research and reports into accessible, editorial-style articles for our blog and channels.
  • Writing release articles and press releases for new product launches and major platform updates.
  • Updating SEO-prioritized blog articles, based on audit recommendations and flagging pieces to feature in email campaigns.
  • Drafting subject line variations to support email performance and testing.
  • Supporting ad hoc SEO copy needs across our platform, from category pages to evergreen content.
  • Creating long-form editorial content that reflects a clear narrative arc, cultural context, and strategic structure , and not simply product-led descriptions.
  • Developing content outlines and editorial frameworks before execution, demonstrating the ability to plan, structure, and evolve a long-form piece from concept to publication.
  • Balancing content refinement (updating and improving existing articles) with net-new content creation, while maintaining a consistent editorial voice.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a copywriter, content strategy writer, or editor. Theyd love to work with someone who has experience with design, tech, or creator-focused platforms.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
A strong editorial instinct and the ability to write for both inspiration and clarity, switching comfortably between storytelling and utility.
  • Comfort in collaborating asynchronously with marketers, designers, and community managers in a fast moving environment.
  • Experience applying SEO best practices without sacrificing voice, readability, or flow.
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple work streams while meeting deadlines.
  • Curiosity about design trends, creator culture, and how creative tools shape modern workflows.
  • A thoughtful, reliable working style and pride in delivering polished work every time.
  • Experience writing long-form editorial content for blogs, online magazines, or publications, ideally within design, culture, art, or creative industries.
  • A portfolio that shows strategic thinking — including the ability to explain trends, frame narratives, and provide cultural or aesthetic context — not just execute copy from a brief.
  • Comfort translating internal research, reports, or trend insights into compelling, reader-first editorial stories.
  • An understanding that years of experience matter less than portfolio alignment, writing quality, and editorial judgment.
