We are now on the lookout for a dynamic Business Development & Marketing Specialist based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to join our team full-time.

As the Business Development & Marketing Specialist - Malaysia, you will take the front face of our business & excel at creating and closing new opportunities in Malaysia. By using a consultative approach to selling, you will use your expertise to generate Malaysian leads, identify and qualify the leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers in Malaysia.

Responsibilities:

- Community & Brand Building Locally in Malaysia

- Lead Generation for Malaysia - Parents, Students & International Schools

- Ideate and execute Marketing Campaigns in Malaysia for brand awareness and lead generation

- Sharing local knowledge, know-how and expertise to improve our sales and marketing outreach with better targeting of suitable audiences

- Partnering with local organizations

- Contacting & visiting international schools in person to do demos of our products and services

- Identifying Malaysian students and parents' needs and how we can better support them

- Making outbound calls to prospects

- Responding to incoming leads with the aim to convert them into a positive sale

- Handling inbound calls, chat inquiries, and emails in a professional manner

- Working with various internal teams to ensure prompt and accurate order processing and delivery

- Escalating customer feedback as required to the relevant teams

Required skills and experiences

- 3 - 4 years of experience in similar roles

- Prior experience in Sales &/ Marketing or a related role ideally from the Edtech/Education/Tech industries.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Ability to converse in Chinese & Malay verbally

- Good understanding of international school curricula such as IGCSE Cambridge, IGCSE Pearson Edexcel, IB, etc.

- Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems with a high level of computer literacy and adaptability.

- Ability to build and sustain strong professional relationships.

- Self-motivated and driven to work under pressure and meet given deadlines.

- A team player with a positive attitude and good interpersonal skills

- Should have a laptop & stable internet connection to work from home.
