About the job Store Manager
Job Description:
- Manage daily operations of store to meet store goals and sales target, and shrinkage
- Provide direction and guidance to store staff in the performance of their assigned duties and responsibilities
- Follow and enforce store policies, security measures and customer service standards.
- Develop positive shopping experience and ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure monitoring of product expiry and perform necessary action and coordination
- Perform inventory control to avoid over stock and low stock.
- Manage product storage and rotation activities to reduce spoilages and damages.
- Ensure that grocery shelves are maintained clean and organized.
- Ensure that shelves are loaded with fresh products all the times.
- Ensure that all products are properly tagged and labeled.
- Assist in recruiting and training staffs on assigned responsibilities.
- Setup product displays in store entrance and other sections according to merchandising standards.
- Maintain the store clean, safe and appealing.
- Visits competitors to get information relating to products, styles, prices, and services, and implement details of useful findings in the store to improve the quality of service delivery.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in a supervisory capacity at a retail store, or similar.
- In-depth knowledge of product and consumer trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with applicable labor laws, and retail health and safety standards.
