The Role

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll develop a sophisticated data integration platform from the ground up. You'll work with modern cloud technologies, build secure data pipelines, and have autonomy to make meaningful technical decisions that shape the product's architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead backend development using Microsoft Azure services (Functions, API Management, Cosmos DB)
• Build modern, responsive frontends using Next.js and shadcn/ui
• Implement secure data collection from multiple sources via APIs and webhooks
• Design and implement data anonymisation for sensitive PII, ensuring GDPR compliance
• Manage and optimise Azure Cosmos DB with efficient data schema design
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep)
• Conduct software security scanning and vulnerability assessments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document technical processes

Essential Requirements

Experience:

• 5+ years in full stack development
• Proven track record building production-grade applications
• Experience in fast-paced, agile environments

Frontend:

• Expert proficiency in Next.js and React
• Experience with shadcn/ui or similar modern UI libraries
• Strong TypeScript and responsive design skills

Backend & Cloud:

• Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, API Management, and Cosmos DB
• Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or C#
• Solid API design and database optimization skills

DevOps:

• CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Bicep for Infrastructure as Code
• Docker and cloud architecture patterns

Security & Compliance:

• Solid understanding of GDPR and data protection
• Experience with data anonymisation, encryption, and hashing techniques
• Knowledge of software security scanning techniques
• Understanding of OWASP and secure coding practices

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills with ability to document clearly
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail

Highly Desirable

• Experience with business intelligence platforms
• Background in digital transformation or tourism/hospitality sectors
• Agency or client-facing experience
• Open-source contributions or community involvement
