Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner (Part time initially) to join our dynamic media agency clients growing team. This role is critical to overseeing and executing comprehensive audiovisual media strategies across multiple platforms including TV, VOD, and digital channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and optimising campaigns that deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Develop strategic AV media plans across TV, VOD, digital video and other audiovisual channels

Manage campaign planning, execution, and optimisation to achieve client KPIs and objectives

Negotiate with media owners and broadcasters to secure optimal rates and placements

Utilize media planning tools including Arianna to create detailed campaign schedules and forecasts

Analyze audience data, ratings, and performance metrics to inform planning decisions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including strategy, creative, and client services

Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reporting and insights to clients

Stay current with industry trends, emerging platforms, and new advertising opportunities

Manage budgets and ensure campaigns are delivered within financial parameters

Essential Experience & Skills

Required Experience

8+ years of experience in AV planning within a media agency or equivalent environment

Proven track record of planning and executing TV campaigns across linear and addressable TV

Strong experience with VOD platforms including BVOD, AVOD, and streaming services

Comprehensive knowledge of digital video advertising including YouTube, social video, and programmatic video

Proficiency in Arianna media planning system or similar planning tools

Key Skills

Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret data and extract actionable insights

Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with media planning tools

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities

Strong communication and presentation skills for client-facing interactions

Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

Team player with collaborative mindset and positive attitude

Desirable Qualifications

Experience with additional planning systems such as Telmar, Nielsen, or BARB data

Knowledge of programmatic buying platforms and ad tech ecosystem

Understanding of attribution modeling and advanced measurement techniques

Experience working across multiple industry sectors

Relevant marketing or media qualifications
