ABOUT THE ROLE

One of our clients, a dynamic, growing media agency looking for an experienced Senior Account Director or Business Director to join their team in a flexible, remote capacity. This part-time role offers the opportunity to transition to full-time as their partnership evolves and the business grows.

You'll be a strategic leader who thrives on building relationships, developing talent and driving business success. This is a senior role designed for someone who can operate autonomously while fostering collaboration across our growing team.

You must be willing to travel to the office at a minimum of once a month and attend client meetings are required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Leadership & Management

  • Serve as the primary strategic partner for key client accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and long-term satisfaction
  • Develop deep understanding of client business objectives, challenges, and opportunities
  • Lead client presentations, planning, strategic reviews and quarterly business reviews
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively propose solutions that drive measurable results
  • Manage client expectations, budgets and project timelines with precision

Team Development & Training

  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning
  • Provide hands-on training in client management, strategic thinking and media planning
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and create individual development plans
  • Build team capabilities through coaching, workshops and knowledge sharing sessions
  • Champion best practices and elevate the overall quality of work across the agency

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Lead the development of comprehensive media strategies aligned with client goals
  • Translate business objectives into actionable, integrated media plans
  • Oversee campaign execution, optimisation and performance reporting
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging platforms and innovative approaches
  • Ensure all strategies are data-driven, insight-led and commercially sound

Team & Project Management

  • Build and lead cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes
  • Delegate effectively while maintaining quality control and strategic oversight
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
  • Foster a collaborative, positive team environment that encourages innovation
  • Implement efficient processes and workflows that scale with agency growth

New Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with agency capabilities
  • Lead new business pitches, proposals and presentations where required
  • Develop compelling case studies and thought leadership content
  • Build and nurture a network of potential clients and industry contacts
  • Contribute to agency positioning, credentials and growth strategy

Client Retention & Growth

  • Maximize client lifetime value through strategic account planning
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
  • Build strong, trusted relationships that result in long-term partnerships
  • Address challenges proactively and turn obstacles into opportunities
  • Achieve high client satisfaction scores and retention rates


About You

  • 7+ years of experience in media, advertising, or marketing agency environments
  • Proven track record of managing significant client relationships and budgets
  • Demonstrated success in new business development and client retention
  • Experience leading, mentoring and developing teams
  • History of delivering strategic, results-driven campaigns across multiple channels

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Excellent understanding of both offline and online media channels and platforms
  • Excellent project management and organisational capabilities

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying connected to the team

Technical Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of media landscape including digital, social, programmatic, traditional
  • Proficiency with media planning tools, analytics platforms and project management software
  • Knowledge of current industry trends, platforms and best practices
  • Understanding of measurement frameworks, attribution and campaign optimisation

Additional Information

  • Fully remote position (must be available during core business hours
  • Part-time commitment: 20-25 hours per week initially will need to be flexible on days and times, ideally half days M-F
  • Flexibility in scheduling with expectation of client meeting availability
  • Potential to transition to full-time (40 hours per week) within 6-12 months based on business growth and mutual fit
  • Occasional travel for client meetings or team gatherings as needed

    Salary from 40,000 DOE
