Position: HDPE/Fusion Welder

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HDPE/Fusion Welder to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing fusion welding on HDPE pipes and fittings for various water and wastewater projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform fusion welding on HDPE pipes and fittings according to project specifications and industry standards

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements

- Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards

- Operate and maintain welding equipment, including butt fusion machines, electrofusion machines, and extrusion welders

- Ensure proper fusion and weld strength by performing destructive and non-destructive tests

- Monitor and maintain proper fusion pressures, temperatures, and fusion times

- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment

- Communicate with project managers and other team members to coordinate work and ensure project deadlines are met

- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project

- Assist with other tasks and duties as needed, including pipe installation and excavation work

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HDPE fusion welding

- Valid welding certification in HDPE fusion welding

- Knowledge of fusion welding techniques, equipment, and safety procedures

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
