Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site engineering inspections including structural, building condition, engineering studies, and forensic assessments
  • Develop construction documents and engineering calculations to support the repair of items inspected with deficiencies


  • Manage and coordinate projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to deliverables and consulting budgets
  • Provide clear and concise written reports and conduct meetings to discuss inspection results
  • Lead, manage, direct, and review the work of other engineering staff review and stamp reports
  • Professionally and effectively interface with clients, team members, other Criterium affiliate offices, and Criterium Engineers main office
  • Provide input to proposals and project types to include cost estimation
  • Work with ownership to expand service areas that are in alignment with client requirements and market demand
  • Travel to job sites around the Phoenix metro area, throughout Arizona, and occasionally to the Las Vegas office

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering Technology
  • Licensed engineer (PE) with at least 2 years experience as a Project Engineer in a related field pay will be commensurate with experience
  • Design and AutoCad (AutoCad Lite) experience
  • Experience with building codes, including IBC and local codes
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Humble team player who can lead by example, is self-accountable, and proactively collaborates with the team and clients
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • United States citizen and legally authorized to work in the United States with a valid Arizona drivers license
  • MS Office skills (Word / Excel) and general technology/computer skills
  • Meet the physical requirements of the job to include extensive walking, climbing ladders, heights, and occasionally small spaces
