Pipeline Welder

A recognized company in the manufacturing sector is seeking its Specialized Pipe Welder in Georgetown, Guyana, who will hold and manipulate the electrode holder welding torch or carbon arc air gouge by hand, and perform welding work in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental rules.

Reporting directly to the Welding Foreman, your main responsibilities will be:

• Perform welding work in the planned times and costs.
• Ensure the proper implementation of approved operating procedures.
• Ensure observance of the WPSs and welding method statements.

To successfully fulfill the position, it is very important that you have these characteristics:

• Knowledge of the main international construction standards and codes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical project documents.
• Knowledge and application of manual (GTAW-SMAW) and semiautomatic (GMAW-FCAW) welding processes.
• Knowledge of the different materials to be welded for piping and structural steel.
