Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mold Maker / Manufacturing Technician to support the precision fabrication, repair, and modification of thermoplastic, liquid silicone rubber (LSR), and thermoset tooling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and CNC machining, an eye for detail, and a commitment to craftsmanship and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build new injection molds from raw materials using CNC and manual machining equipment.

  • Repair and modify existing molds to meet production needs and engineering changes.

  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds for evaluation and maintenance.

  • Review technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications to execute high-precision work.

  • Operate lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and other relevant manual and CNC tools.

  • Utilize precision measurement instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges) to maintain tight tolerances.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve tooling issues.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized tool room in accordance with company and industry safety protocols.

  • Perform other duties related to tooling and manufacturing support as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in mold making, tool & die, or precision machining.

  • Proficiency with CNC and manual machining equipment.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and 3D models.

  • Skilled in using a wide range of precision measuring tools.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with thermoplastic, LSR, or thermoset molding.

  • Familiarity with mold maintenance practices in a production environment.

  • Technical certifications or coursework in machining or mold making.
