Location: Great Falls, MT
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shifts Available:
- 3 Night Shift Openings
- 1 Day Shift Opening
- Standard Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (11:00 AM 11:00 PM, including some weekends)
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
Facility Size: 0 - 49 beds
Position Overview:
Seeking skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurses to join our high-performing team. This role provides both direct and indirect care to patients in the emergency care setting, managing a range of urgent conditions with rapid assessment, critical thinking, and clear communication. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform triage quickly and accurately, assessing both physical and psychosocial needs
- Provide care in a manner that reflects initiative, flexibility, and accountability
- Collaborate closely with ER physicians and mid-level providers to report on patient status and diagnostics
- Respond rapidly and appropriately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
- Guide and direct ED techs, registration staff, and allied health professionals
- Document patient care clearly and timely using electronic medical records
- Maintain open and compassionate communication with patients and their families
- Participate actively in team-based care, following direction from ED leadership
Qualifications:
Required Education & Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
Licensure & Certifications:
- Current Montana RN license (or eligibility)
- Required Certifications (or obtained within 6 months of hire):
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with IVs and operation of both manual and electronic medical equipment
- Knowledge of emergency nursing principles and procedures
- Competent in basic computer and documentation skills
- Able to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
