Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer with a strong background in landside civil engineering design and project management to support aviation clients. This role involves increasing responsibilities in both design and management, requiring effective communication with department management, clients, and subconsultants. You will contribute to a variety of project phases including contract document preparation, cost estimating, and coordination meetings.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Develop contract documents including plans, specifications, and quantity/estimate reports

• Organize and lead project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders

• Maintain and update departmental organizational and quality control standards

• Analyze survey reports, maps, blueprints, aerial photography, and other geospatial data for project planning

• Perform engineering design calculations and computations

• Coordinate and/or manage subconsultants and in-house support teams throughout project lifecycle

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification

• 48 years of civil design experience with demonstrated task management skills

• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer/MicroStation

• Detailed construction cost estimating experience

• Technical specification writing proficiency

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• In-depth knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, Engineering Briefs, and Orders

• Working knowledge of Department of Defense Unified Facilities Criteria (DoD UFC)

• Project management experience including schedule and budget oversight

• Supervisory experience in project task management

• Road and highway design experience preferred
