Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to lead the clinical nutrition program at a new acute care facility in Grand Forks, ND. This leadership role manages a clinical nutrition team and supports both inpatient and outpatient services while promoting quality care and operational excellence within the hospital setting.
Registered Dietitians in this role have order writing privileges to practice at the top of their scope.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the clinical nutrition program across the health system

Supervise and support a team of 4 Dietitians and 5 Diet Clerks

Provide direct patient care approximately 20% of the time

Collaborate on the implementation and management of meal service and menu systems

Promote a culture of learning, professional development, and career growth

Lead Performance Improvement and Quality Management initiatives

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
Required Qualifications

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credentials

Masters degree (Bachelors degree acceptable if eligible for registration exam prior to 1/1/24) with ACEND-accredited coursework and supervised practice

Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice

Minimum 13 months of supervisory or management experience directing teams and resources

Minimum 3 years of acute care clinical experience as an independent practitioner

Experience with regulatory accreditation, readiness, and maintaining standards of care

Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Must Have

RD/RDN eligibility and ability to register within 120 days of hire (if not already registered)

Acute care clinical experience

Supervisory or management experience in a clinical nutrition setting

Proven experience in regulatory compliance and quality management
