Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a caring and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a direct patient care role in a Critical Access Hospital setting. This position supports individuals of all ages and a wide range of medical needs. Services include Medical, Surgical, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Emergency, ICU, Transitional Care, and Behavioral Health.

Nurses will receive ongoing training and mentorship from Nursing Supervisors and Directors to build competencies across various clinical areas. LPNs will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care using the nursing process.

Obtain and document patient histories and perform assessments.

Monitor clinical status and communicate changes to the care team.

Assist in developing and evaluating individualized care plans.

Administer medications and nursing interventions.

Provide patient and family education to support treatment and recovery.

Supervise nonprofessional staff and delegate tasks appropriately.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

Adhere to infection control, safety procedures, and ethical standards.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for effective patient care.

RN Additional Responsibility:

May be assigned Charge Nurse duties upon demonstrating clinical leadership, critical thinking skills, and cross-unit competency.

Sound clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.

Qualifications:

Current RN or LPN license in Montana or a compact state.

Current BLS certification (required).

ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP certifications recommended (or willingness to obtain after hire).

Prior nursing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.

Able to lift/move patients using proper body mechanics or assistive equipment (up to 50 lbs).

Physically able to respond quickly to emergencies and perform CPR.

Must be able to work in a hospital environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials.
