Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electric Motor Supervisor to lead a team in our winding department. This hands-on role involves supervising production activities, ensuring quality and safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in AC/DC motor winding and a strong aptitude for leadership and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of winders, while actively participating in daily winding operations
Manage production schedules and enforce quality control and safety procedures
Oversee the inspection, assembly, and final testing of electric motors, generators, coils, and armatures
Perform hands-on tasks including brazing, soldering, welding, and coil fabrication
Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and purchasing to support workflow efficiency
Provide remote customer support as needed and collaborate with other locations to balance workloads
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
Minimum of 5 years of motor winding experience, including supervisory or team lead roles
Strong understanding of motor winding techniques, materials, and EASA standards
Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems; familiarity with ISO 9001
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
