The Opportunity:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN will demonstrate proficiency in applying the fundamentals of the nursing process, contribute to comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and participate actively in the evaluation of nursing care to ensure the highest standards of patient outcomes.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise care provided by nonprofessional staff and offer guidance and instruction as necessary to ensure quality care delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere strictly to nursing care standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Participate regularly in unit conferences and recommend improvements for resident care through the interdisciplinary team (IDT) process.

  • Obtain and document comprehensive nursing histories from residents and/or their families, covering present conditions and past health issues.

  • Perform basic resident assessments with a sound understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology; identify and investigate clinical changes as needed.

  • Recognize abnormal diagnostic data, understand its implications, and communicate findings to physicians and the care team while incorporating them into the nursing care plan.

  • Use assessment data to actively contribute to care planning, ensuring incoming staff receive sufficient information for safe and effective care.

  • Include residents and families in the planning of care, prioritizing needs, and setting achievable goals.

  • Implement care plans to deliver safe, therapeutic nursing care and communicate progress with residents, families, and healthcare team members.

  • Assume accountability for clinical care of assigned residents, including supervising nonprofessional personnel.

  • Evaluate and document resident responses to nursing interventions as recorded in care plans and medical records.

  • Pursue ongoing professional growth through current reading, education programs, and in-service training.

Education & Experience:

  • Current and valid nursing license to practice in the state.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods working at a desk or computer.

  • Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
