Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement, collaborating with operational teams as necessary.
- Variance Analysis: Investigate and explain significant variances between budgeted and actual results, highlighting key drivers and recommending corrective actions.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and ensuring accuracy of financial data.
- Tax Compliance: Support tax compliance activities, including preparation of tax returns and coordination with external tax advisors.
- Internal Controls: Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Audit Support: Facilitate external audits by providing requested documentation, explanations, and support to auditors.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management to support decision-making.
- Manage all aspects of financial accounting for pipeline inspection projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee project budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making and project profitability.
- Conduct regular financial reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to accounting principles.
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to track project expenses, revenue recognition, and billing processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, to provide insights and support strategic planning.
- Lead the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls specific to pipeline inspector services.
- Support external audits and regulatory compliance requirements related to pipeline inspection projects.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth within the organization.
- SAP accounting, closing and reporting according to todays Thai/international accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry or related field.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
