Oil Well casing Data Analyst Inspection Engineer (Oil and Gas)
2 Week Rotations Thailand and Australia
We are seeking 3 highly motivated Australian or New Zealand nationals to join our team in the role of Data Analyst for our state-of-the-art oil well inspection technology.
This exciting once in a lifetime opportunity provides the right person with the chance to enter the oil and gas industry and enjoy 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off rotation with off time spent in Thailand and on time spent in Australia. Thai work visa and all associated benefits will be provided including flights to and from Australia for each rotation.
You do not need to have specific skills however we are looking for bright and enthusiastic people with an excellent attitude and the willingness and ability to learn the process of data analysis.
The job will be based out of our Thailand Headquarters in Ban Chang, Rayong.
Responsibilities
- Undergo initial training in data analysis and UT inspection techniques.
- 2 weeks in Australia on a land-based oil and gas site working with our teams to analyse data from our inspection tools (full accommodation and food provided).
- Provide technical support to resolve any issues identified during inspections, working closely with engineering and maintenance teams.
- Being the face of Dexon on site in Australia.

What does a Data Analyst do?
Oil Rig crews lower our inspection tool into an oil well. When the tool comes back up the data analyst retrieves the inspection data from the tool and analyses immediately on site to give a quick view report to the customer within 2 hours before the data is sent back to Thailand for a full and final analysis by our team.
What will life on site be like?
Quality of life on Australian mine sites and oil and gas sites is a high priority and is required to keep staff happy in the job and improve retention. You can expect your own room and all meals to be provided along with other activities during site down time.
What will be my working hours?
You will work 2 weeks on and then have 2 weeks off. Whilst you are on site you will work between 10 to 12 hours per day (never exceeding 12 hours).
