Position Overview
The Operations Director will lead and oversee all aspects of the operations function for Dexon Technology PLCs inspection services in the Oil & Gas industry. This role requires strategic and hands-on leadership to manage and integrate diverse technical teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables, operational efficiency, and alignment with the companys objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement engineering and production strategies aligned with company goals.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive innovation in product design, manufacturing processes, and technologies.
- Plan and manage departmental budgets, resources, and timelines.
- Direct and mentor multidisciplinary teams, including:
Transducer & Connector teams.
Engineering & Quality Assurance teams.
Fleet Testing teams.
Design Engineers, Researchers, Engineers, and Electronic Engineers.
Technicians and QA/QC personnel.
Testing and Validation specialists.
Engineering Management
- Oversee the design, development, and testing of new products or systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality guidelines.
- Manage engineering teams, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to transition projects from development to production.
Production Management
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the production process, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency and quality.
- Ensure the effective utilization of resources, including labour, equipment, and materials.
- Address and resolve production challenges, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with senior leadership to align operational objectives with company strategy.
- Act as a key liaison between technical teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
Operational Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production, testing, and quality assurance processes.
- Monitor operational metrics to ensure alignment with business goals and industry standards.
Resource Management:
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and operational demands.
- Oversee the maintenance and readiness of fleet and testing equipment.

Qualifications
- Skills:
- Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in operational planning, resource allocation, and process optimization.
- Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1015 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the Oil & Gas or related industries.
- Proven track record of managing technical and engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC, testing, and validation processes.
- Knowledge of pipeline inspection tools, fleet operations, and advanced engineering solutions.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in operational planning, resource allocation, and process optimization.
- Experience in managing In line inspection operations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with pipeline integrity management systems and inline inspection technologies.
- Willingness to travel to operational sites and manage global teams if required.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English communication
