About the job Assistant Manager - Freeport Toad&Co Store
We are hiring an assistant manager for our Freeport, Maine store. This person will be a key member of our sales team. The right candidate has leadership experience, loves sustainable clothing, and has a positive, solution-oriented outlook.
This is a full-time position and weekend availability is required. Compensation commensurate with experience; benefits include health and dental, 401k, and participation employee profit sharing program.
You will be accountable for the day-to-day operation of our Freeport store. You will be involved in all aspects of the store including merchandizing, managing team members, and marketing. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to engage in the broader, business development of the store.
Retail experience, hopefully in the clothing and/or outdoor industry, is important but not a requirement. The right person for this position is comfortable jumping right in, is experienced in spotting what needs to be done and can prioritize tasks. You should be comfortable being "in charge" when other leadership is not available and can take general guidelines and turn them into action. We'd like to hire someone who can grow to take on more leadership within our company.
We offer a lively, team-based atmosphere and a customer base that is loyal and growing. Our customers share our belief that every decision we make can be a socially and environmentally conscious one. Our team is full of motivated people who love to contribute ideas, so be ready to contribute. We like being outside, whether it's camping, climbing a mountain, or enjoying a drink on the patio, and we hope you do too. A great attitude is the most important thing.
