In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax, compliance, audit , payroll and implementing strategies to optimize financial processes.
2.2 Primary Responsibilities :
Responsibilities:
- Accounting and Financial Reporting: Manage the full accounting cycle (AP, AR, GL, fixed assets) while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements.
- Cash Flow and Treasury: Oversee cash management, forecasting, and optimize the company's use of funds.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all tax regulations (income, sales, payroll) and lead the preparation and filing of tax returns. Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Team Leadership: Manage, develop, and mentor the accounting team.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing accounting processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions for greater efficiency.
- Audit: Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth and successful audit processes.
- Exchange Rate Management: Oversee the company's foreign exchange risk management and ensure compliance with relevant policies.
- Payroll: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in accordance with all payroll regulations.

4.1: JOB PROFILE
NON NEGOTIABLE SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA designation highly desirable).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, accounting principles, and tax regulations.
- Proven experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system implementation and optimization.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Controller role, preferably within the money transfer industry or financial services sector.
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with foreign exchange rates a big plus.
