1. POSITION INFORMATION
Job Title: Interior Designer Supervisor
Reports To: General Manager
Location: Democratic Republic of Congo
Nationality: Lebanese - Willing to Travel
2. JOB PURPOSE
The Interior Designer is responsible for designing, presenting, and coordinating projects from concept to execution, ensuring designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, cost-efficient, and aligned with the company's production capabilities, materials, and quality standards.
3. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Design & Client Interaction
- Meet clients to understand their needs, space requirements, budget, and style preferences
- Prepare interior design concepts, layouts, and proposals
- Produce 2D drawings, layouts, elevations, and 3D visualizations
- Assist sales team during presentations and client negotiations
- Modify designs based on client feedback and management approval
B. Technical Drawings & Production Coordination
- Prepare accurate technical drawings for production (kitchens, wardrobes, doors, furniture)
- Coordinate with production, CNC, carpentry, upholstery, and finishing departments
- Ensure designs are technically feasible with available materials and machines
- Follow up on production execution to ensure design compliance
C. Materials, Costing & Specifications
- Select appropriate materials (MDF, MFC, veneer, accessories, hardware, finishes)
- Coordinate with stock and procurement to verify material availability
- Assist in cost estimation and BOQs
- Ensure designs respect approved pricing and margins
D. Site Visits & Installation Follow-up
- Conduct site measurements before finalizing designs
- Follow up during installation and handover
- Ensure final execution matches approved drawings
E. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain organized project files
- Submit design progress reports
- Follow internal procedures and approval workflows
4. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
- 2–4 years experience in interior design (custom furniture preferred)
5. REQUIRED SKILLS & SOFTWARE
- AutoCAD (mandatory)
- SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar 3D software
- Knowledge of furniture materials and construction
- Strong French communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure
