Key responsibilities
- Lead the financial closing process and review statutory accounts in compliance with business strategy and investor requirements.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reports and Board presentations.
- Oversee tax, audit, regulatory, and internal control functions, ensuring full compliance with all regulations.
- Review and enhance internal controls related to financial and compliance matters.
- Develop financial strategies, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, monthly cash flow projections, and performance monitoring.
- Lead financial modeling, analysis, and business plan preparation for operational and expansion initiatives.
- Monitor cash flow, analyze budget variances, and ensure effective cash management.
- Supervise investments and arrange funding (e.g., bank debt, cash flow) for business operations and capital expansion.
- Conduct feasibility studies and compliance reviews for new projects/acquisitions (e.g. CAPEX), and oversee post-investment financial integration.
- Analyze trends, identify expansion opportunities for company growth.
- Drive cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and margin improvement initiatives.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors (BOD).
- Support and drive strategic and financial planning.
- Act as a Finance Business Partner to internal stakeholders, including the BOD.
- Integrate new schools into the existing financial framework.
- Undertake additional projects and tasks as requested by investors, the BOD, and the CEO.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting & Finance.
- CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CGMA, or CPA qualification preferred. Financial audit experience with a large international audit & accounting firm is an advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years of financial management experience, including at least five years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the education (or service) industry.
- Strong expertise in internal procedures, financial processes, and controls.
- Proven experience in financial reporting and consolidation.
- ERP implementation and compliance experience is an advantage.
- Previous experience leading and mentoring large finance teams in Cambodia is preferred
