Job Purpose

The CL Product Development & Technical Sales Manager is responsible for the area product development, commercialization and implementation of the Warehousing product portfolio including all contract logistics related services as well as last mile delivery in his area. He is working closely with commercial as well as operations in the area. He is responsible for supporting both pre-sales as well as post sales implementation efforts with his expertise and measured on achieving profitable business implementations across the area for his product. A strong understanding of the markets, business requirements and technologies around are key for this role.





Key Responsibilities

       Market analysis

       Pricing and profitability analysis on regular basis for the individual solutions in the region

       Coordination with Sales on material required for sales on WND, SME support for sales opportunities

       Market requirements feedback to global product team around developments for further enhancements and expansion of the product

       Uncover new revenue streams leading to revenue generation for warehousing services including digital opportunities and customer specific solutions in the region

Primary internal stakeholders (key interdependencies)

·         Regional commercial team

·         OPS in the region and the area

·         Global product

·         Marketing

Parameters for Success

·         Customer satisfaction

·         revenue and CM 1 target achieved for regional portfolio

·         Solution sales pipeline size

·         Lower cost of sales (aligning buyer personas for Product launch)


Experience / Knowledge Required

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent education and work experience

·         Above 8 years of relevant working experience in Warehousing, Contract Logistics, Supply Chain

·         Proven leadership experience in an integrated supply chain with the ability to lead a cross functional project team

·         Excellent project management skills, problem-solving skills, decision-making skills

·         Proficient in data analysis, Microsoft applications, preferred knowledge of warehouse management systems

·         Being well-organised, methodical & able to work to tight deadlines

·         Customer-oriented mindset

·         High integrity

·         Understanding of the area market and market trends for warehouse as well as the business requirements and technologies relevant for the future success of this portfolio are key for this role.

·         Experience in working in an international environment

·         Excellent communication skills, able to build and maintain relationships

·         Analytical skills

·         Collaborative mindset, open to feedback

·         Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

·         Knowledge of the Agile way of working would be an advantage

·         Fluency in English language
