Job Purpose

The role of Investment Director entails strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, a keen interest as well as demonstrated meticulousness.

Analytical requirements include valuation and financial modelling. The successful candidate will have strong technical capabilities, knowledge and must possess the ability to grow the firm's investing capabilities and capacity in a proactive and comprehensive manner including strategic rationale, valuation, and risks.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead investment team with respect to developing financings, sales, developments, capital raising, bank financing, and governance
  • Conducting appropriate market research on target prospects, setting up meetings and clearly communicating the firm's strategies and differentiating factors
  • Working closely with key partners to help portfolio companies grow value and achieve a healthy return on investment
  • Drive qualitative and quantitative analyses and research on market trends including market sizing, firm positioning, financial and operational benchmarking, and broad sector
  • Perform competitive intelligence to understand businesses positioning and opportunities in the market, then presenting such findings to management

Requirements

  • Degree or Msc in Real Estate Asset Investment & Development or relevant disciplines
  • At least 12 years, experience as Real Estate analysis in Real Estate Investment industry
  • Background in working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Have done deals with China counterpart, and proficient in the Chinese language
  • Strong and positive drive to take up ad-hoc tasks
  • Fluent with financial modeling for the purpose of financial analysis for potential acquisitions
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills and demonstrated record of working on a number of projects simultaneously
  • Strong Asia market experience is preferred but not a must
  • Be willing to be stationed in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
