Key responsibilities

• Identify customer requirements and prepare tailored market information and relevant costing analysis so that the number of sales orders can be maximized.
• Maintain the updated merchandising correspondences and records.
• Assist offshore Merchandising Teams to:
• plan and direct the monitoring on order follow-up to ensure on-time production and delivery that covers visiting the factories weekly, checking fit or merchandising sample or pre-production samples, sending the samples to customers directly.
• Evaluate fabric/trims/product samples and seek appropriate approvals from supervisor and the customer so as to ensure the sample specifications meeting customer requirements.
• Ensure the samples and finished products are up to the desired quality and customer requirements.
• Coordinate QC departments for inspection arrangement so as to ensure products are up to the required quality standard.
• Coordinate with Logistics departments for shipment arrangement so that shipments can be effected promptly.
• Closely follow up with the compliance issues to ensure customers' compliance requirements are met.
• Any other tasks/projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Higher Diploma or above in textile and clothing.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in all-rounded merchandising experience and at least 3 years in the same role in sourcing industry.
• Strong knowledge in sweater products are a must.
• Well understanding the manufacturing process of related product type.
• Familiar with US, Canada & EU markets and regional sourcing.
• Good command of English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent process management skills that involved negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative with ability to work across functions and in concert with region and global counterparts.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and diverse environment.

Salary range

USD 1800 to 2300 gross
