Key responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor. Understand clients' business goals, challenges, and marketing needs, and provide strategic guidance and recommendations to achieve their objectives.
  • Account Growth and Retention: Identify opportunities for account growth and upselling, working closely with clients to develop and execute strategies that drive business results. Proactively seek new business opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Project Management: Oversee the successful execution of client projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to clients' expectations. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including creative, strategy, and production, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive account plans that align with clients' objectives and incorporate a mix of marketing channels and tactics. Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative marketing strategies and campaigns that meet clients' needs and deliver measurable results.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with clients to develop and manage marketing budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment (ROI). Monitor budget utilization and provide regular financial reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Client Presentations and Communication: Prepare and deliver persuasive client presentations, showcasing campaign strategies, creative concepts, and performance results. Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and gathering feedback.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor account management teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, media, and analytics, to ensure the successful delivery of integrated marketing programs.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, using data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and tactics. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that demonstrate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Industry Trends and Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, market insights, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to clients. Conduct market research and gather consumer insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Contract Negotiation and Compliance: Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring compliance with agency policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • People Management: Lead, build, and manage a high-performing team; coach, monitor, motivate, and supervise team members to take positive action and accountability for their assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. An MBA or an advanced degree is a plus.
  • More than five years of experience in account management or a similar client-facing role within an agency environment or in other B2B industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing client accounts and driving business growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and effectively communicate complex concepts.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions that meet clients' business objectives.
  • Proficient in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of marketing principles and techniques across various channels, including digital, traditional, and social media.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and interpret results.
