Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategy to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Analyzes market conditions and trends to support pricing decisions, being sensitive to competition and category profit requirements.
- Determine the positioning of a brand/product category to maximize visibility.
- Develop and execute overall product assortment strategy to maximize sales and new brand acquisition.
- Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands.
- Collaborate across functions to drive business goals (including Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Operations)
- Partner closely with Brand Importer and Manufacturers to develop and enhance our brand, , and competitive positioning.
- Manage products forecast, sales & marketing planning and budgeting and ensure compliance in all stages.
- Devising long-term Category Management Strategy for products and Developing exit strategies for unsuccessful products
- Liaise with brand owners to build strong rapport and engagement, establish a good understanding of brand performance across all channels and advise on strategies to drive and achieve business objectives.
- Gathering market intelligence on competitive and new products, industry trends, and development and constantly lookout for new opportunities to grow the brand business.
Requirements
- A seasoned brand management expert with 4-6 years of sales, procurement, category management in Modern Retail chains.
- Experience in working in modern retail, retail chains, importers and local/Full-Service Distributors.
- Experience in a leadership role, building and managing revenue organizations with the ability to retain and motivate future talent.
- Ability to manage multiple brand owners, manufacturers from various countries simultaneously, independently, and with high fidelity in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, and influencing skills, along with experience working with senior leadership
Salary range
USD 1000 to 1800 gross
