Position Purpose

The Deputy Chief Operating Officer assists the Group CEO in the implementation of the group objectives. He/she is responsible for supporting the direction and implementation of its programs and projects, providing leadership towards the achievement of its mission.


An ideal candidate would be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who is able to execute and manage effectively. They should be analytical and possess strong critical thinking and planning skills.






Key Responsibilities

·         Assists in implementing strategies for operational management and development so as to meet organizational plans and goals within budgets and timelines.

·         Assists with specific projects that support the group mission.

·         Directs and supports the smooth and efficient operation of organizational facilities.

·         Participates actively in implementing programs that meet organizational goals and objectives.

·         Contributes in developing, installing and controlling procedures to promote communication and adequate information flow within the organization and with partners.

·         Regularly and systematically evaluates the results of overall operations and reports these results to the Group Chief Executive Officer.

·         Provides a strong day-to-day leadership presence, possessing an execution mind-set and a bias toward action.

·         Manage the group Agriculture business, farms and employees

·         Other duties as assigned.

·         Reliable -- Leadership skills that reflect and value a team approach, demonstrated integrity, effectiveness, efficiency, and the ability to deliver high quality service. Highly capable of handling multiple tasks, projects and timelines. Excellent oral and written communications skills.

·         Trusted -- Ability to work with residents, partners, and staff of diversified backgrounds with a positive, optimistic, solutions oriented attitude. Shares a deep respect for the community, its stakeholders and the residents that we serve.

·         Driven -- Passion for the work and an interest in continuous learning and improvement.


·         Bachelors’ degree in Business, Management or similar

·         Experienced in Agriculture is highly preferred

·         Direct experience in a Management position

·         Demonstrated project/program management skills, including managing and prioritizing multiple tasks

·         Experience in group facilitation and working on teams

·         Experience with office systems, computer literacy, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook

·         Ability to be discrete and confidential with sensitive information



$2,500 - $3,500 (Negotiable)
