Position Purpose


We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets and operations of the local business unit. General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies.

Key Responsibilities


·         Obtains profit contribution by managing staff and establishing and accomplishing business objectives.

·         Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; and enforcing ethical business practices.

·         Increases management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; cultivating a climate for offering information and opinions and providing educational opportunities.

·         Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities, presenting analysis, and recommending objectives.

·         Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; and making mid-course corrections.

·         Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; and coordinating actions with corporate staff.

·         Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.




·         Develop and update operating and customer service standards that optimize returns on assets, increases sales and improves profits.

·         Identify problems within the business, including through using data gathering (collect, analyze, summarize) and evaluate outcome requirements.

·         Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures, develop operational metrics.

·         Monitor project progress by tracking activity, writing progress reports, recommending actions for the business to improve.

·         Lead the team to create, develop and update any related procedures/ systems and operational manuals.

·         Coach, counsel and develop operations team in the achievement of company standards and their personal development plans.

·         Utilize a communication process to ensure all staff is aware of expectations and performance standards.

·         Ensure self and team activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and meets company standards.

·         Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.

·         Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff members as necessary.

·         Monitor businesses and agencies to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services while staying within budgetary limits.

·         Direct non-merchandising departments of businesses, such as advertising and purchasing.

·         A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies.

·         Helping in the procurement of operating supplies and equipment, and contracting with third-party vendors for essential equipment’s and services.

·         Coordination with HOD's for the execution of all activities and functions.


Experience / Knowledge Required


·         Degree in Business Management or MBA

·         Good knowledge of different business functions.

·         At least 5-7 years’ experience in management level positions.

·         Experience with budgets, P&L statements, capital expenditures and planning and forecasting.

·         Excellent time management and ability to prioritize and to meet commitments.

·         Experienced in business planning, Business Strategy and management.

·         Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.

·         Can speak English and Khmer languages fluently, and also Chinese will be an advantage.

·         Self-motivated, decisive, responsible and driven to provide the best service.

·         Strategic planning, Quality management and Process improvement.

·         Excellent communication skills.
