Fitter & Turner (Pietermaritzburg)

Leading manufacturer is seeking a trade tested Fitter & Turner with 5 years post trade experience in Pietermaritzburg.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintain plant equipment by means of machining and mechanical work
2. Manufacture of spare components
3. Manufacture of tooling
4. General milling and tooling
5. General maintenance of hydraulic systems

REQUIREMENTS

1. Fitter & Turner Trade Test
2. Precision turning of bronze bushing
3. Thread cutting and machining of induction hard chrome shaft
4. Internal machining of barrel tubing
5. Ability to analyse and implement corrective measures on mechanical wear of old machinery (Rebuilding of worn-out parts, alignment etc.)
6. Accurate turning and milling of components
7. In depth knowledge of mechanical repairs
8. Hydraulic skills
9. Machine alignment (Chain/v-belt)
10. Ability to obtain working at heights permit
11. Able to lift heavy equipment

RUMUNERATION

Basic: R150 to R192 per hour

Leave enhancement pay (13th cheque)
