Operations Manager (Witbank, Mpumalanga)

National group are seeking an experienced Operations Manager for their Witbank branch.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
2. Complies with store operations, stock handling, and efficient receiving of stock.
3. Safeguards store process, operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
4. Writing incident reports in cases on non- compliance
5. Controls stock accuracy levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
6. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
7. Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
8. Management of staff, maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
9. Maintains store job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
10. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
11. Process orders and liaise with customers and branch personnel.
12. Compliance with health and safety regulations.
13. Ensure that delivery deadlines are met.
14. Efficient fleet management and cost efficient containment
15. Ensure productive stock take and cycle count and daily gas count
16. Cylinder reconciliation
17. Back orders management
18. Support sales team while on site and in the office to meet the branch financial targets

REQUIREMENTS

1. Grade 12
2. 3 year tertiary qualification in Sales, Warehouse or Logistics
3. 3+ years experience in a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment
4. Have a valid drivers license
5. Have a good working understanding of warehouse stock management
6. Target driven and results orientated
7. Good customer service skills
8. Be computer literate
9. Have good interpersonal skills
10. Analytical minded
11. Good numeracy skills

RUMUNERATION

R20,000 To R25,000 (Basic negotiable on experience and qualification)
