SUMMARY: Serves as the Deputy Director of the Analytic and Data Platforms Directorate responsible for managing and advising the direction, guidance, and supervision for all information technology, cybersecurity and facilities management activities within the directorate that enable and support the accomplishment of the mission of JWAC. Duties
- Provides direction, guidance, and supervision for all activities within the directorate that directly and indirectly support the accomplishment of JWAC.
- Directs work through first-level subordinate supervisors planning, organizing, and managing long range strategic planning, IT, business development policies, regulations and changes thereto to reflect changing or new IT and/or development initiatives.
- Exercises final authority for the organization's policy and accountability for the success of the specific line or staff function directed.
- Provides advice and expert knowledge to the JP Director as well as JWAC senior leadership. Develops integration plans and executes Technical Point of Contact/financial duties for contract efforts, as required. Mentors personnel in the application of new capabilities to current projects.
- Responsible for communicating impact of, gaining commitment for, and ensuring consideration of directorate initiatives, policies, and recommendations.
- Meets with key customer and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve problems that arise.
- Prepares and presents reports and briefings on status of branch initiatives and/or recommends action to key internal and/or external elements.
- Represents JWAC at meetings, conferences and trainings in order to keep abreast of issues affecting the organization; ensures project plans and objectives are on target; resolves technical conflicts; and serves on technical groups or committees.
- Identifies funding requirements to support development activities. REQUIREMENTS: Conditions of Employment - Must be a U.S. Citizen - Incumbent must have or be capable of obtaining and retaining a Top Secret/SCI security clearance - This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing program. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use - Position is subject to polygraph testing - Must be found suitable for federal employment - Must participate in the direct deposit pay program - New employees to the Department of the Air Force will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. - Comprehensive knowledge of information technology, cyber security, operations research analysis, engineering and other JWAC analytic disciplines.
- Skill in designing and implementing innovative programs, processes, and solutions.
- Skill in professional development of colleagues/employees.
- Knowledge of contracts, financial/budget planning and execution.
- Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, technical methods and approaches and technical and/or resource requirements to leadership, peers and subordinates.
- Skill in conducting workforce planning and resource allocation to maximize utilization of constrained resources.
