Your Role

As Finance Manager, you are a strategic and operational leader who bridges finance with business execution. You take ownership of the full financial landscapecovering administration, budgeting, reporting, and compliancewhile acting as a sparring partner to the leadership team. Youll lead a dedicated finance team (approximately five FTE) and report directly to the CEO. This is a broad, impactful role that also touches on software optimization, team development, and facility oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Strategy

  • Oversee all financial processes, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and annual accounts (including consolidation).

  • Monitor cash flow, cost trends, creditors/debtors, and legal financial compliance.

  • Develop and implement financial strategy aligned with company goals.

  • Analyze deviations and risks; offer clear, actionable advice to leadership.

  • Build business models and contribute as a strategic thought partner.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, support, and develop a multidisciplinary finance team.

  • Create clarity around roles, collaboration, and team dynamics.

  • Promote a feedback-driven culture and actively address underperformance.

  • Contribute to learning and development within the team.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Identify and lead process improvements across finance and related functions.

  • Optimize current tools and help shape future software decisions.

  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of outputs from the finance team.

Facility & Office Management

  • Coordinate facility services and office operations.

  • Oversee maintenance, spending, and improvement initiatives for the workplace.

What Were Looking For

  • A completed HBO or WO degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience in a project-based organization is a must.

  • Proficient in accounting software (knowledge of Trimergo and AccountView is a plus).

  • A generalist mindsetyoure comfortable with payroll, compliance, and day-to-day financial operations.

  • Proactive, resilient, and hands-on, with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Strong communicator, fluent in both Dutch and English.

  • Available for 36 to 40 hours per week.
