Account Manager – Logistics (Asset + Brokerage)
Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite – Downtown HQ)
Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000 base + performance incentives

Our client is a growing, asset-based transportation and logistics provider with a strong presence across truckload and brokerage services. With a modern, centrally located headquarters in downtown Tampa, they combine the reliability of owned assets with the flexibility of a brokerage network to deliver tailored supply chain solutions.
The Role
This is a relationship-driven Account Manager role focused on managing and expanding existing business. You will inherit a portfolio of active customers and be responsible for maintaining service excellence while aggressively growing wallet share across both asset and non-asset solutions.
This is not a pure hunter role—but it does require someone who knows how to identify opportunity, ask for more business, and expand accounts strategically.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing shipper accounts
- Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day customer needs
- Identify opportunities to expand services across truckload, dedicated/asset capacity, and brokerage solutions
- Increase wallet share by uncovering additional lanes, modes, and supply chain needs
- Collaborate with operations, carrier sales, and dispatch to ensure high service levels
- Proactively address service issues and maintain strong customer relationships
- Conduct regular account reviews and business development discussions with clients
- Maintain CRM updates and track account growth metrics

- Strong retention and satisfaction across assigned accounts
- Consistent growth in revenue and margin per customer
- Ability to uncover and win additional freight opportunities within existing relationships
- Becoming a trusted advisor to customers—not just a service contact
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 2–5+ years of experience in freight brokerage, trucking, or logistics account management
- Strong understanding of truckload operations and brokerage dynamics
- Proven ability to grow existing accounts (not just maintain them)
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to work onsite in Tampa HQ
Preferred:
- Experience working in an asset-based environment
- Exposure to both carrier operations and customer-facing roles
- Familiarity with TMS/CRM systems
