We are seeking a Senior Civil Project Engineer to join our growing team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a key technical role for an experienced engineer who thrives in both independent and collaborative settings. The successful candidate will work on complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects and serve as a leader and mentor within multi-disciplinary teams.

Role Overview:

This position will focus on the planning, design, and delivery of a wide range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Assignments will include system master planning, concept refinement, detailed design, and preparation of construction documents. You will also be responsible for regulatory coordination, public outreach, and client engagement to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering design for municipal and private-sector water/wastewater projects
  • Collaborate with and mentor engineering team members
  • Prepare and review project scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and public stakeholders
  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of plans, calculations, and construction documents
  • Support proposal development and project pursuit strategies
  • Participate in public presentations and client meetings
  • Oversee technical execution to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations
  • Promote corporate standards for safety, quality, and productivity

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • Arizona PE license, or ability to obtain quickly
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in water/wastewater design
  • Strong technical background in:
    • Water distribution and wastewater collection
    • Pump/lift station and well site design
    • Master planning and hydraulic modeling
  • Demonstrated leadership and team mentoring capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in relevant industry design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across disciplines
  • Familiarity with regulatory agency processes and permitting in Arizona
