Position Summary
As a Drywall Estimator, you will lead the full bid processfrom organizing bid documents to delivering professional proposals. Your deep understanding of construction methods and building standards will ensure accurate, competitive estimates that position the company for success.
This role offers a compensation range of $85,000 to $125,000 per year, along with a generous benefits package, including:

Key Responsibilities
Bid Process Management
- Organize and review bid documents for clarity, completeness, and compliance with company standards
- Analyze plans and specifications, identifying and resolving any ambiguities before submission
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment
- Customize quantity data per client request (by area, trade, or building component)
- Facilitate bid reviews, ensuring timely confirmation of estimating assumptions
- Develop and present professional written and verbal proposals
Estimating & Analysis
- Stay informed on construction techniques, labor rates, materials, and building codes
- Incorporate scheduling, sequencing, and safety considerations into cost estimates
- Collaborate with project management on production goals and subcontractor quotes
- Identify value engineering opportunities to enhance competitiveness
Post-Award Support
- Confirm contract scope and participate in project turnover meetings
- Assist in building budgets, procuring materials, and selecting subcontractors
- Support change order processes and monitor project progress
- Participate in project reviews to gather lessons learned for future bids
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- 4-year degree in Construction Technology or equivalent technical training/experience
- Prior experience in construction estimating (drywall-specific experience a plus)
Skills & Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods and codes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Effective collaboration with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple bids under deadlines
- Proficient with cost estimating and quantity survey software
