As Country Manager for Project Logistics, you will drive the strategic direction, commercial development, and operational excellence of the business in Japan. You will lead a high-performing team while managing key customer relationships and ensuring delivery of complex, multimodal logistics solutions that meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and profitability.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead business development efforts to achieve sales, revenue, and volume targets for Project Logistics in Japan.

• Oversee operational execution for high-complexity logistics projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.

• Develop strategic client relationships and act as an executive escalation point for key accounts.

• Collaborate with regional and global leadership to align market strategy with overall business objectives.

• Drive implementation of major new accounts and ensure seamless onboarding and performance delivery.

• Manage all commercial and financial aspects including pricing, profitability, credit, and vendor management.

• Build and develop a high-performing team through effective leadership, training, and performance management.

• Ensure compliance with Japanese regulatory requirements and industry standards for project logistics.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in leading Project Logistics or Industrial Projects in Japan.

• Strong background in sectors such as oil & gas, EPC, energy, renewables, or heavy manufacturing.

• Track record of driving commercial growth and managing complex, multimodal operations.

• Deep understanding of Japanese regulatory frameworks, transport infrastructure, and customer expectations.

• Fluent in Japanese and business-level English.

• Strategic mindset with strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
