About the job IT Helpdesk Support / System Administrator
Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and service-oriented Helpdesk Support / System Administrator to join our internal IT team. This role focuses on Tier 1/2 IT support, serving as the first point of contact for all internal technical issues. The ideal candidate will support daily IT operations, ensure smooth onboarding of new staff, and maintain IT infrastructure and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal IT support (Tier 1/2 helpdesk service)
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues (e.g., laptops, desktops, printers, applications)
- Set up and configure PCs and accounts for new staff
- Receive, track, and resolve IT support tickets in a timely manner
- Provide support for meeting room AV and video conferencing equipment
- Perform hardware/software upgrades, replacements, and maintenance
- Maintain and update IT documentation, inventory, and support guides
- Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 support as needed
- Ensure adherence to IT policies and security best practices
- Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors
- 5 day work; Mon to Fri 830 - 1730; Ngau Tau Kok Office (5 min walk to MTR)
Requirements:
- Diploma or above in Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IT support/helpdesk or similar role, preferably in sizable companies and teams
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, Microsoft 365 and basic network troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with hardware setup, imaging, and user onboarding
- Good problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks independently
- Fluent in Cantonese and English is a must, Mandarin is a plus
- Candidates with more relevant experience could be considered as Senior System Administrator
